Opening Hours
Reception hours are 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday. On the day appointments can be booked at reception, either in person or by telephone, from 08:00.
 
Practice Pharmacist
We now have a pharmacist working alongside the practice. He is helping us in many ways. He will be doing face to face medication reviews with our patients who have chronic airway disease and hypertension.
  
Physiotherapy self-referrals
You can access NHS physiotherapy without seeing your GP first. It can be accessed via the practice website. go2physio

Free MOT Lung Check
Thousands of people in Salford will be offered a to improve early detection rates of lung disease. Patients aged 55 to 74 who smoke or who have smoked in the past will be sent a letter from their GP inviting them to book a check which includes spirometry (breathing checks). Salford City Council’s health improvement service staff will also be on hand to offer stop smoking and other health advice. The first round of the lung health check pilot will be carried out at Walkden Gateway centre before being available in other parts of the city later in the year. 
Cervical Screening
If due please attend for your smear! Around 2,600 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer in England each year. Around 690 women die from the disease, which means 2 deaths every day. It's estimated that if everyone attended screening regularly, 83% of cases could be prevented.
 
Annual Reviews for Long Term Conditions (LTC)
Patients will be asked to attend for their annual LTC review around their birthday.

New community group in Little Hulton

The Happie Chappies are a local group who put on activities for residents. Activities include Bingo, Gardening Club, luncheon Club, Knitting and sewing club. They are hosting an opening day is to showcase what they do and open up their doors to organisations and residents, so people can see what they are doing. There will be raffles, refreshments and cakes on offer.

 

Join us for a brew, a look round or bring anyone interested in having a look around.

New Childrens choir

A new choir is open is anyone would like to attends. Its on at St Johns community centre,

every Monday 4-5.

There is a new Chat and Natter group hosted by Age UK in Little Hulton.

The session will be on: Tuesday’s, 10am – 12:30pm at Streetgate Community Centre, Baron Fold, Little Hulton, M38 9UR

There is a donation of 50p for hot drink and biscuits.

The Parenting Peer Support Group we have a group locally in Walkden at St Pauls Church Community Hall and will start on the 24th September Tuesday’s 9:30am – 11am

The peer support group is a chance for an informal coffee morning for the parents of children with additional needs to share experiences and meet new people.
